A possible painting of SCP-372?
I have found this picture of a painting in a book about phenomenons. According to the text of the picture it shows the creature a man being treated for drug addiction can see in his visions. Well, I think that this creature looks like SCP-372. Is it possible that SCP-372 was inspired by this painting? 217.229.1.232 10:52, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
- I doubt it. The only thing that creature resembles is the loading screen image used for 372, but that's not considered the canon look for it. Also 372 has 8 pairs of legs, not three.

- "Whoa! There certainly is a resemblance (to how 372 is usually drawn as, anyway), but no, I'm afraid it's a coincidence.
- My main inspiration for 372 was the Scramblers in Peter Watts's novel Blindsight (though the Scramblers stayed hidden by only moving during saccades, whereas 372 just uses the blind spots in the human visual field)."
